Our story

Story

Founded in 2013 by Bas Dijkhuis, Don't Waste Culture is a brand that transcends traditional fashion boundaries. Inspired by the stories and hidden history of many cultures and subcultures, our journey began with a mission to promote the untold. Started in early 2013, with two snapback caps and 2 t-shirts based on the suppressed and almost forgotten cultures of the Maori's of New Zealand and the Maya's of Mexico, the Don't Waste Culture journey had begun.

Don't Waste Culture isn't here to make fashion only. We are here to tell stories. Stories that remain undiscovered for the masses; it's a movement, a philosophy, and a celebration of hidden history. We are the explorers of the untold, the architects of curiosity, and the keepers of inspiration. In a world filled with noise, we've dedicated ourselves to unearthing the voices that remain unheard.

Our designs go beyond aesthetics; they are a testament to the richness of human experience. Each piece we create serves as a canvas, an ode to the unsung heroes and forgotten tales that shape our world. We believe in making the hidden visible and shining a spotlight on the cultures and history often forgotten about.

With every collection we release, we invite you to join us on a journey of discovery, to explore the extraordinary within the everyday. Don't Waste Culture is a celebration of the remarkable stories that weave the tapestry of humanity.

Our commitment extends beyond fashion; it's a commitment to quality craftsmanship and sustainable practices. We believe that fashion can be a force for positive change, and we are here to lead by example. With each garment, we aim to inspire, to ignite curiosity, and to encourage others to make the unknown known.

We'd love to welcome you to Don't Waste Culture, where fashion is not just a statement; it's a celebration of the limitless possibilities of style and the stories waiting to be told. Join us in our journey to preserve and promote the untold.

PURPOSE

Promote the untold.
